On July 29 and 30, 2021, the Moscow online voting system was tested. During this time, the developers not only received feedback from users, but also faced attempts to hack the platform.

One of these attempts was recorded literally an hour before the end of testing, writes Nezavisimaya Gazeta. At the same time, a hacker was found who successfully bypassed the system's protection, indicating this to the creators of the online voting.

Artem Kostyrko, head of the department for the improvement of territorial management and the development of smart projects in the city of Moscow, said that his identity would be revealed in about a week. Moreover, the expert will be awarded a prize of 2 million rubles, as promised earlier.

As a reminder, since August 2, Moscow residents can register for remote electronic voting. And already from September 17 to September 19, they will be able to elect deputies of the Moscow City Duma and municipal deputies.
