Russia will launch the next space observatory after 2025

The launch of the Russian space astrophysical observatory “Spectr-UF” is planned after 2025, RIA Novosti reports.

It is reported that the astrophysical observatory “Spectrum-UV” is intended for observations in the region of the ultraviolet spectrum inaccessible to ground-based telescopes

With its help, experts plan to study physical processes in the early Universe, the formation of stars, the evolution of galaxies, the processes of matter entering black holes, the atmospheres of planets and exoplanets and comets.

Earlier it was reported that Spektr-UF will launch the Angara-A5M carrier rocket into space from the Vostochny cosmodrome in October 2025.

Earlier, the head of the laboratory for the development and implementation of biomedical programs at the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Yuri Smirnov, announced the possibility of creating a group of scientists who would fly into space.

Recall that the multifunctional laboratory module “Science” was launched to the ISS from the Baikonur cosmodrome on the Proton-M rocket on July 21. On July 29, the module successfully docked to the ISS.
