The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the strategic exercises “Vostok-2022” with the troops of the Eastern Military District, which will take place from August 30 to September 5, 2022.
The Russian Defense Ministry says that only part of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and that their strength is sufficient to perform all tasks.

During training, issues of using groupings of forces in ensuring military security will be worked out in the Eastern Region.
The following will be involved in military exercises:
The exercises will be held at the training grounds of the Eastern Military District: Bidzhansky, Burduny, Bukhta Anna, Goryachiye Klyuchi, Knyaz-Volkonsky, Litovko, Lagunne, Mukhor-Kondui, Novoselsky, Sergeevsky, Telemba, Uspenovsky and Tsugol.
As previously reported in the Office of the President, the Ukrainian military completely destroyed 5 combined-arms armies of Russia on war against Ukraine. In particular, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 14 divisions of MLRS and 70 divisions of cannon artillery of the enemy.
