The general director of Uralvagonzavod, Alexander Potapov, told what updates the newest Russian T-14 Armata tank will receive.
According to Potapov, the company has already begun to modernize the “Armata” and introduce artificial intelligence technologies into the tank. What exactly the algorithms will do remains unknown.
The general director of Uralvagonzavod also noted that the new combat vehicle is significantly different from all world models. It will have to become a platform that will be developed for more than a dozen years.
Earlier, the general director of the state corporation “Rostec” Sergei Chemezov said that the algorithms of artificial intelligence at “Armata” will be responsible for the control and guidance of targets. However, the decision to shoot will still be made by a person. It was also previously reported that the T-14 tank was successfully tested in an unmanned version.
