Russia is developing the latest long-range hypersonic missile, the Kh-95. Colonel-General Vladimir Zarudnitsky, head of the military academy of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, spoke about this on Tuesday, August 3.
He noted that at present, dominance in the aerospace sphere is the most important condition for the successful conduct of hostilities. The result of superiority in this area is precisely ensured by the effective use of strike and fighter aircraft. To achieve these goals for the Russian Aerospace Forces, new and modernized models of weapons and military equipment are being developed and adopted for service.
– We are talking about the strategic missile carrier-bomber Tu-160M; aviation hypersonic missile system “Dagger”; high-precision long-range airborne weapons, in particular the X-95 hypersonic missile, – said Zarudnitsky in his article in the Military Thought magazine.
Earlier, the site kp.ru wrote that Russian President Vladimir Putin opened a series of meetings in Sochi with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the military-industrial complex. The head of state discussed how the army has changed recently. At the same time, he urged to pay maximum attention to improving the strategic nuclear forces.
