The Russian state-owned enterprise Region has begun the development of small-sized guided aerial bombs. They are designed for attack drones and front-line bombers.
According to a source citing the company's press service, the new bombs have improved characteristics compared to all existing counterparts. The developments are presented at the Army 2021 military-technical forum taking place in August.
It is noted that “the project to create small-sized guided aerial bombs is being carried out not only for attack unmanned aerial vehicles, but also for operational-tactical aviation. The work is carried out on an initiative basis by the designers of the State Scientific and Production Enterprise “Region”.
