Russia has begun to develop small-sized guided aerial bombs for attack drones and front-line aircraft, TASS reported with reference to the press service of the State Research and Production Enterprise (GNPP) Region. Representatives of the company assured that domestic developments will surpass “well-known foreign counterparts” due to improved combat characteristics.
“The project to create small-sized guided aerial bombs is being carried out not only for attack unmanned aerial vehicles, but also for operational-tactical aviation. The work is being carried out on an initiative basis by the designers of the Region State Research and Production Enterprise, “the press service of the Region State Research and Production Enterprise, the largest Russian developer and supplier of high-precision maritime and airborne weapons, quoted TASS.
In August, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted that the share of the latest types of weapons, military and special equipment in the troops was increased to 70.1%, in the strategic nuclear forces – to 86%. According to him, the Russian army is modern, mobile, compact and efficient.
