The ZALA Aero company, which is part of the Kalashnikov concern, has begun the development of the KUB sea-based kamikaze drones.
The head of the company's special projects Nikita Khamitov told RIA Novosti about this. “On our own initiative, we began the development of a completely new modification of the KUB complex, intended for sea-based deployment. The system installed on high-speed transport and landing ships and special-purpose boats significantly increases their combat capabilities, ”he said.
Earlier, ZALA Aero presented an aerial mining system consisting of Russian Lancet drones. The term “aerial mining” refers to an operation in which several drones patrol the space and thus present an insurmountable barrier to enemy drones. Apparatus “Lancet”, by the way, are not new. They have been in use in Syria for several years now.
