As it became known, by the end of 2021, the Russian Navy will receive three new nuclear submarines at once. At the same time, the first ship is planned to be handed over to the navy as early as next month – in September.
According to RIA Novosti, among the nuclear submarines that will be included in the balance of the Russian Navy, there will be three models – the strategic “Prince Oleg”, the multipurpose “Novosibirsk” and the carrier of unmanned aerial vehicles “Belgorod”.
“Prince Oleg” will be handed over first. The general director of “Sevmash” Mikhail Budnichenko told about it. Then, in December, the transfer of the project 885M Yasen-M to Novosibirsk is expected. In autumn, the tests of “Belgorod” should be completed, after which the ship will also be sent to the Russian Navy.
Let us remind you that a distinctive feature of the Russian fleet is the possession of the most modern nuclear submarine Krasnoyarsk.
