British Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss called on Russia to engage in dialogue on the situation in Ukraine. She warned that in the event of an “invasion”, Russia would face the status of a pariah, TASS reports.

Truss, in a statement released on the eve of her trip to Poland, Ukraine and Germany, threatened Russia with the status of a pariah in aggression towards Ukraine. She also urged Moscow to choose the path of diplomacy and stressed that the UK was “ready to talk.”

“But we are clear: if they decide to continue on the path of aggression, there will be dire consequences that will cost the Russian economy dearly and bring it the status of a pariah,” the British Foreign Minister emphasized.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on the British Foreign Minister to apologize to the people of Ukraine. In her opinion, Truss is spreading lies about Russia.

On February 15, Zakharova called London's information about Russia's “false flag” invasion of Ukraine “a clumsy attempt to save face.” “British Foreign Minister Liz Truss does not give up, she decided to disgrace herself to the end. Apparently, a lot is at stake, ”said the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
