Russia can provoke a provocation in Ukraine, which it then uses to justify aggression against Kiev. Such suspicions were expressed by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, TASS reports.

“It should not surprise anyone if Russia organizes a provocation or incident, which then uses it to justify the originally planned military action,” he said.

Earlier, the US Secretary of State said that Russia could launch an invasion of Ukraine at any time, including during the Beijing Olympics. On the eve of the date of Russia's “invasion” of Ukraine, US President Joe Biden named February 16.
