Washington Post: Russia has pulled together 70 percent of the necessary forces for the “invasion” of Ukraine

Russia has pulled about 70 percent of the forces necessary for the “invasion” to the borders of Ukraine. This is reported by The Washington Post.
The publication refers to “numerous sources” among officials and the American intelligence community. They accused Moscow of the fact that to date, 83 battalion tactical groups have allegedly been prepared by Russia in the zone of a possible conflict, each of which consists of about 750 military personnel, and 14 more groups are on the way. Two weeks ago there were 60 such groups, the interlocutors of the publication claim.
Previously unnamed American officials said that in the event of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the number of possible victims of a potential conflict could reach 85 thousand people. In the United States, it was estimated that Ukrainian troops could lose from 5 to 25 thousand military personnel, Russian – from 3 to 10 thousand military personnel. At the same time, from 25 to 50 thousand people may die among the civilian population.
On February 5, an article appeared on the Bloomberg website about the “beginning of the invasion” of Russia into Ukraine. Later, the publication apologized for publishing false data. On the same day, the German Bild published an article describing “the official plans of the Russian leadership for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the establishment of a puppet government.”
