Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko admitted that in the future in Russia there will be a domestic analogue of the international service for searching and booking hotel rooms Booking.com, RIA Novosti reports.
Chernyshenko stressed that Russia wanted to create a new tourism infrastructure and bring domestic tourism to a new level. It is assumed that the country will have “hundreds of new hotels and tourist complexes” for recreation at any time of the year. Therefore, the politician allowed the creation of an analogue of the Booking.com website in Russia.
“At the same time, let me remind you that one of the national goals set by the president is digital transformation. And it will be logical, while developing domestic tourism, to develop domestic digital services in the hospitality industry. This will allow us to make comfortable not only the rest, but also the process of preparation for it, ”said Chernyshenko.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the country has opportunities to create an analogue of Booking.com. He called this system convenient for many Russians, since “it contains many hotels and hotels that can be compared with each other, sorted by price and star category, and find out online about the availability of rooms for the required dates.”
“This significantly saves tourists time and money,” he concluded.
Earlier, the Russian revealed a way to book hotels without extra charges. In this matter, he urged to seek help from travel agents.
