The government of Bahrain wanted to purchase doses of the vaccine against coronavirus from Russia. This was told by the Ambassador of the Kingdom in Moscow Ahmed al-Saati, he was quoted by RIA Novosti.
He noted that the government and pharmaceutical companies in Bahrain are showing interest in developing in Russia the drug. The diplomat stressed that in the near future Manama and Moscow are to sign an agreement on the supply of the vaccine.
On 7 August the Deputy head of the Ministry of health Oleg Gridnev said that Russian vaccine against coronavirus, developed by the center of Gamaliel, to be registered by August 12. He added that the effect of mass vaccination will be noticeable when among the population formed population immunity.
The first recipients of the vaccine against coronavirus in Russia will be the most vulnerable groups — health care workers and the elderly. Gridnev added that work is currently underway on the preparation of a drug for mass production.
