As part of the ongoing modernization of the MI-28NM “Night Super Hunter” helicopter, aircraft of this class will be equipped with “kamikaze” drone control systems.
According to a source citing the Ministry of Defense, 80 sets of AS-UAV communication systems have already been ordered to control standard reconnaissance and storm drones.
It is noted that assault drones will be used as “kamikaze” – to solve one problem. The distance from which the helicopter pilot will exchange information with such a drone is up to 50 kilometers. It is also noted that this will expand the helicopter's strike capabilities and protect the crew.
