Russia to Transfer 'Experience' in War with Ukraine to China: What Does This Mean

In 2025, Russia will receive 600 Chinese troops to share combat experience from the war in Ukraine.

Russia to train Chinese military

The Kremlin is expanding military cooperation with China. In 2025, Moscow will accept about 600 Chinese servicemen for training at its military bases and training centers of the Russian Armed Forces.

This was reported by Kyiv Post, citing sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MOU).

“The Kremlin has decided to provide Chinese servicemen with the opportunity to study and implement the experience of the Russian army, gained in the war against Ukraine,” a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate told Kyiv Post.

Chinese troops will learn how to counter Western weapons. They will be trained as tankers, artillerymen, engineers and air defense specialists. Ukrainian intelligence believes that this shows the desire of Russia and China to work together to counter the West.

Bloomberg previously reported on production lines with Chinese representatives on Russian territory. Despite this, China last month declared its support for direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine after Donald Trump announced the start of peace talks.

“China supports all efforts to achieve peace,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at the time.

Let us recall that Russian state companies such as Russian Railways and Rosatom actively use large infrastructure projects to advance their political interests in Africa.
