The special board of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered 100 thousand doses of the Sputnik Light single-component coronavirus vaccine to Vietnam as humanitarian aid. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the department.

“The Russian Emergencies Ministry has sent humanitarian aid to the population of Vietnam. 100 thousand doses of the Sputnik Light vaccine were sent to the population of a friendly state by a special aircraft, ”the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

On October 15, it became known about the negotiations between Moscow and Hanoi on the supply of the Sputnik Light vaccine to Vietnam. This was announced by Nikolai Nozdrev, director of the Third Asia Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. According to the diplomat, the organization of the supply of the drug will become possible after its registration in the country.

In September, Vietnamese Ambassador to Moscow Dang Minh Khoi said that Hanoi intends to start commercial bottling of Sputnik V. According to the diplomat, the country will produce 5 million doses of the drug per month. He pointed out that Sputnik V is the only vaccine produced in Vietnam through technology transfer.
