Russia returned to Ukraine a note of protest without consideration

The Russian foreign Ministry received a note of protest to Ukraine in connection with the parade of the Navy (Navy) in the Black sea, but returned it without consideration. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to sources in Department.

“The Russian Federation as a sovereign state has the right to organize on its territory parades, celebrations and other events at its own discretion, without the consent of foreign States”, — explained the Minister. On 27 July, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine handed over a note of protest to the Russian foreign Ministry in connection with the holding of the parade in Sevastopol. According to the statement of the Ukrainian authorities, the parade in the Crimea — illegal demonstration of Moscow’s “military power”. According to representatives of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry, Russia should immediately stop such actions in the region and to take measures for the de-occupation of Crimea.

Crimea became part of Russia in March 2014 after the referendum in which the majority of respondents supported this decision.
