Labor migrants and foreigners who arrived in Russia for more than 90 days were obliged to undergo tests for HIV, drugs and some infectious diseases. The corresponding federal law came into force on December 29, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the document, foreigners must take a test for human immunodeficiency in medical institutions on Russian territory. It is noted that the submitted certificates will be valid for one year, and after this period they will need to be done again. At the same time, these categories of foreign citizens will have to pass the necessary tests again 30 days after the expiration of the medical documents that confirm their status.
In accordance with the new law, almost all foreign specialists who arrived in Russia for more than 90 days will have to undergo X-ray examinations and take blood and urine tests for diseases, including leprosy, tuberculosis, syphilis and HIV / AIDS, on a quarterly basis. In addition to the new requirements for the provision of fingerprints and biometric photographs within 30 days from the date of entry into Russia, examinations of narcologists, psychiatrists and infectious disease specialists will be carried out. The explanatory note to the law states that such measures will improve the sanitary and epidemiological situation and reduce the crime rate.
