Blinken says Russia, Iran and China "will be happy” if aid requests for Ukraine and Israel are not supported by Congress.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Russia must be stopped in Ukraine to prevent it from attacking NATO countries and dragging the United States into a broader conflict.

This is on CNN's State of the Union.

Blinken also opined that Russia, Iran and China “would be happy” if aid requests for Ukraine and Israel were not supported by Congress.

“They have made significant progress over the past year, repelling Russian aggression, returning more than half of the territory captured by Russia since February 2022,” the Secretary of State emphasized.

Blinken said that the failure of Congress to approve a request for aid to Ukraine and Israel by the end of 2023 would only be welcomed by Moscow, Tehran and Beijing.

“The only people who would be happy if the supplemental budget request were not voted on and passed by Congress are in Moscow, Tehran and Beijing,” he said.

Recall that the United States, thanks to assistance to Ukraine, increased its economy. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated this earlier.
