В России развернули пиар-кампанию похищения украинских детей: что об этом известно

The first official case of the abduction of a Ukrainian child was the story of Russian official Maria Lvova-Belova.

A PR campaign has been launched in Russia to abduct Ukrainian children. There, regional leaders began looking for a Ukrainian child for so-called adoption.

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets reported this to Ukrinform.

“The Russian authorities began a PR campaign where it became fashionable to steal a Ukrainian child… We began receiving information that representatives of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the government, and regional leaders began looking for a Ukrainian child for so-called “adoption,” Dmitry Lubinets noted.

He also added that the first official case of a Ukrainian child being kidnapped was the story of Russian official Maria Lvova-Belova, who took a boy from Mariupol into her family. The next story was about the Russian State Duma deputy Sergei Mironov, whose family had two Ukrainian children.

This information was made public by the Ukrainian side, since repeated attempts to return these children from the family of the Russian politician did not lead to a positive decision.

“Here we saw a complete and finished criminal offense of kidnapping two Ukrainian children. Their last names were changed. Margarita Prokopenko became Marina Mironova. Her place of birth, birth certificate were changed… As for the boy Ilya, whom they took out with Margarita, after he was examined in Moscow and found to have an illness, we assume that the Mironov family decided to abandon him because he was sick. But we cannot establish what happened to the boy next… We cannot find out what happened to them and where he was taken,” he said. Lubinets.

Today, the Ukrainian side is negotiating with partners on the return of other Ukrainian children who were kidnapped and are living with the families of representatives of the Russian authorities.

Recall that 12 more children were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
