ANO “National Priorities”, operator of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia, together with the Ministry of Education and Science and with the support of Roscosmos, launched a flash mob “Science is Space”, timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight.
“The main idea of this action is to support Russian science and remind people of what contribution to space exploration and technological progress in general was made by the developments of scientists, how their inventions influenced our daily life,” said the Director General of ANO National Priorities »Sofia Malyavina.
According to her, in the days of high-speed Internet and gadgets, many have forgotten that not so long ago people did without running water, electricity, a refrigerator, and a washing machine. As Malyavina noted, science makes life comfortable and safe.
To participate in the flash mob, users of social networks need to post a post with an image or video of any simple object or phenomenon, explain how it is related to science, put hashtags #NaukaEtoKosmos, #GodNauki, #RussianKosmos and invite your friends to take part in the action and pass the baton.
The flash mob was launched by cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Sergei Ryazansky.
Earlier, FAN reported that Moscow had prepared a program in honor of the 60th anniversary of Gagarin's flight into space.
