The Chancellor also added that the intentions of the head of the Kremlin will not come true.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz warned against overestimating Russia's strength, saying that this country is not as strong as some people think.

Scholz said this during a speech in the Bundestag in Berlin.

“Russia is not as strong as people now think,” Scholz said.

The Chancellor also added that the intentions of Kremlin head Putin will not come true.

“If Putin thinks that it is enough for him to simply sit out this war, and we will weaken our support, then he has miscalculated,” said Olaf Scholz.

He called on the allies not to exaggerate the political and military power of the Russian Federation. At the same time, he emphasized that from a military point of view, Russia’s war in Ukraine was “cruel.”

At home, he said, the repressive Russian system is showing signs of lack of strength, which makes it even more important for the EU to unite and stubbornly support Ukraine against Russia.

Meanwhile, the head of the parliamentary faction of the Social Democratic Party Germany , is a comrade-in-arms Scholz , Rolf Mützenich, stated the need to freeze the war in Ukraine. He said that he would not go back on his words, although the German government has the opposite position.
