Russia is modernizing a Project 877EKM diesel-electric submarine of the Indian Navy.
“At present, Russia is carrying out repairs and modernization of the next submarine of project 877EKM,” TASS quotes the press secretary of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Valeria Reshetnikova.
According to her, the modernization program for Indian submarines of this project will continue.
On June 5, it was reported that the Russian nuclear submarine Nerpa, leased to India, was returning to Russia.
