Russia is developing a computer game about the war in Ukraine with the participation of the Russian Defense Ministry

The virtual war begins in 2014 with the confrontation in Donbass.

The Russian Defense Ministry seems to have finally become convinced that it will not be possible to defeat Ukraine on the battlefield, so the strategists of the “Kyiv blitzkrieg” decided to join the creation of a computer game for Russian gamers.

According to Russian propagandists from the Izvestia publication, the Russian military department is providing “consultative support” in the creation of a single-player strategy game called “Squad 22: ZOV”.

It is interesting that the virtual war begins in 2014 with the confrontation in Donbass, and not in February 2022, when the so-called “special military operation” began, that is, a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The game is expected to be released in December 2024. It will be available only on the VK Play platform.

Director of the Intercontinental eSports League Alexander Gorbachenko expressed confidence that “Squad 22” “will definitely find its fans and even gather a stable community of patriotic gamers around itself.” He suggested using the images and biographies of real participants in the war with Ukraine in the game.

Judging by the fact that even in the names of settlements, as evidenced by the game screenshot, the developers, under the supervision of the Russian Ministry of Defense, make mistakes (“Berdyansk” instead of “Berdyansk”), the plot of this toy for “patriotic gamers” will be far from real events.

Recall that earlier footage appeared on the Internet indicating that in Russia children are taught from childhood to kill Ukrainians. There are already special “training centers” operating there.
