We are talking about an increasingly militarized atmosphere in the country.
The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation intends to introduce subjects related to military training in schools and institutions of higher education. British intelligence officials believe that such actions are evidence of the creation of an increasingly militarized atmosphere in the country.
This is stated in the latest report of the UK Department of Defense.
“Initiatives highlight the increasingly militarized atmosphere in Russia in wartime, as well as a (probably deliberate) allusion to the Soviet Union: where such training was compulsory in schools until 1993,” the review says.
British intelligence officials note that in the last few weeks, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation spoke in more detail about the implementation of the plan to include basic military training in the curriculum in secondary school.
It is noted that as early as September 2023, as part of the subject “Fundamentals of Life Safety”, training in the handling of assault AK rifles and hand grenades, military drill and the use of personal protective equipment.
By the way, in December 2022, the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education announced about the program “Fundamentals of military training” for university students.
As reported, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation decided to introduce a training course on the game of rounders – this is a folk game with a ball and cue ball. The game, according to Russian teachers, should help prepare young men for military service. The new training course in Russian schools is designed for students from grades 1 to 11.
