The speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said that the Russian occupying forces did not abandon their attempts to continue the offensive operation against Ukraine, but their main tasks were failed.
– The main tasks of the occupiers: to defeat the Armed Forces of Ukraine, surround Kyiv, reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and further establish control over the left-bank territory of Ukraine, have not been fulfilled. Partially, the enemy reached the target in the Donetsk direction. The enemy was stopped in the direction of Nikolaev,” Motuzyanyk said.
He clarified that the enemy continues to deliver missile and bomb strikes against military and civilian infrastructure using both precision-guided weapons, according to Russia's assurances, and unguided aerial bombs.
– Since the beginning of hostilities, the enemy has launched 291 missile strikes, used 459 ground, sea and air-based missiles, conducted 1403 air raids. The main land targets of the Russian invaders were Ukrainian cities and villages, namely industrial infrastructure facilities, schools, hospitals, national historical and religious shrines, densely populated residential areas, the speaker said.

According to him, the invaders use three brigades in the directions of Brovary.
