Russian specialists have developed a new waterproof rescue suit for pilots who have suffered a disaster on the water. This was announced by the Zvezda TV channel in the Military Acceptance program.
The VMSK-4 high-altitude marine rescue kit is designed for flight operations and survival after an aircraft crash. The report says that the costume consists of several parts. First, the underwear is put on, then the anti-G suit, after that the high-rise compensating suit and the heat-protective suit, and the last – the waterproof overalls.
Special boots with a positive buoyancy reserve have also been developed for pilots. To create the kit, new types of fabrics were used, it was made using the method of ultrasonic welding and the insulation was replaced in it.
Earlier it was reported that the crews of the warships of the Russian Navy will receive target designator helmets, thanks to which sailors will be able to control the AK-630 automatic cannons by turning their heads. The development is designed to increase the effectiveness of the destruction of such air targets as drones, helicopters and cruise missiles in the near zone of a ship's air defense.
