Russia is losing not only its soldiers in the aggressive war unleashed against Ukraine, but also the trust of the world community and its place in international organizations.

French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about this during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Paris on Friday, February 16.

The French leader assured his Ukrainian counterpart that his country would stand side by side with Ukraine so that Russia would lose this war of aggression.

“In fact, Russia It has already lost it, thanks to the heroic resistance of the Ukrainians, thanks to the rising sense of unity that this just struggle provoked. Two years ago, Putin said that there would be a special operation that was supposed to end in a few days, but in fact they are now suffering colossal losses and are stuck along the entire front,” Macron noted.

In addition, he noted the degradation of the Russian government, which does not care about the population of its country, but is waging a war of aggression.

“It is better for Russia to finance this unnecessary, unjust, brutal war than to finance a basic level of services for its own population. Since the nineties, Russia has lost its place and credibility in various international formats. While Ukraine has taken its place and will soon be a member of the EU, as well as NATO, which I hope for,” the French President emphasized.

Recall that on February 16, President Vladimir Zelensky and French leader Emmanuel Macron signed a bilateral agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine.
