Zakharova mentioned the 1965 International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
The Russian Federation has officially filed pre-trial claims against Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia for alleged “discrimination against Russian compatriots”.
This was reported by Russian propagandists from RIA Novosti, citing a statement by Russian Foreign Ministry press secretary Maria Zakharova.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry claims that the Russian Federation has decided to use “all available international judicial mechanisms against unfriendly states” that, according to her, “systemically discriminate against Russian compatriots”.
In this context, Zakharova mentioned the 1965 International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
“Pre-trial claims have already been filed against Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia in connection with the gross violation of the rights of Russians in defiance of the said convention,” she said at briefing on Wednesday, December 25.
Recall that recently representatives of Poland and the Baltic states discussed a military response to a possible Russian invasion.
