Experts from the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences conducted an experiment to simulate a flight to the moon. Six people took part in it.
The experiment was called Sketch. He had several goals. The first is to assess the level of human stress during an acute period of adaptation to isolation in a pressurized facility. The second is to study the molecular and cellular processes of adaptation of the immune system to extreme conditions.
The participants are reported to be doing well after completing the experiment. There were four men and two women among the volunteers. They spent two weeks in an eight square meter module. This module simulated flight on the spaceship “Eaglet”.
Earlier, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that the lunar spacecraft would appear in Russia by 2028.
