Tatyana Moskalkova claims that she was present during the transfer of the bodies of prisoners of war killed on board the Il-76.
Russia allegedly handed over to Ukraine the bodies of prisoners of war allegedly killed in the crash of the Il-76 transport plane in January 2024 in Belgorod regions.
Russian ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova said this in an interview with a propaganda agency.
In a video distributed online, the journalist reminded Moskalkova that she reported in the spring about Russia's desire to hand over to Ukraine the bodies of prisoners of war who allegedly died during the Il-76 crash.
The ombudsman said that the bodies have already been handed over:
“It has already happened, and I was present.”
Recall that on January 24, an Il-76 plane crashed in Belgorodskaya, and everyone on board died. The Russians said that the plane was carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said that the list of the dead published by the Russians was indeed Ukrainians who were submitted for exchange, but as of spring 2024, no one had seen their bodies.
