Russia cancels Navy parade on Neva River: British intelligence names reason

The main event of this holiday takes place in St. Petersburg along the Neva River to the Kronstadt naval base.

The Russian Navy's fleet parade on the Neva River has been cancelled. The probable reason was that the occupiers could not guarantee the protection of their troops.

This was reported by the press service of British intelligence.

As noted, in Britain, the Russian Navy Day is called “an annual demonstration of Russian naval power.” The main event of this holiday takes place in St. Petersburg along the Neva River to the Kronstadt naval base. However, this year the Kronstadt element of the parade, which was supposed to take place on July 28, was cancelled due to security concerns.

“This is not the first time measures have been cancelled since Russia invaded Ukraine. However, this is the most high-profile event to be cancelled, and it highlights the growing trend that Russia is unable to guarantee the protection of its troops,” British intelligence noted.

Recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled one of the largest attacks by the Russian army in the west of Donbas.
