“The grouping of troops on the Crimean peninsula does not leave a single chance for any potential enemy who would encroach on the territorial integrity of our country,” said the deputy head of the military department.
The deputy minister named some new equipment that protects Crimea. According to him, it includes six diesel-electric submarines armed with Kalibr missile systems. “The submarines made several successful missile launches off the coast of Syria, destroying the militants' infrastructure,” Kartapolov said.
Among other systems, the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense identified three divisions of the Bal and Bastion coastal missile systems, six patrol ships, a series of Project 22800 Karakurt small missile ships, three corvettes and support vessels.
Kartapolov also recalled the presence in Crimea of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems.
