The introduction of new US sanctions against three Russian companies is another discriminatory step. This statement was made by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, his commentary was published on the diplomatic mission's Facebook page.
“It is clear that such a non-constructive approach does not contribute to a healthier climate in Russian-American relations. There is no doubt that the US unilateral measures are aimed at undermining the economic potential of Russian companies, ”the diplomat said.
He called the actions of Washington illegitimate and urged him to drop baseless accusations. Antonov also noted that the alternative to threats and blackmail is political and diplomatic methods.
Earlier on November 24, the US State Department announced the imposition of sanctions against Russian companies. Restrictive measures were applied against the companies “Aviazapchast”, JSC “Elekon” and Nilco Group, as well as their subsidiaries. Now American government agencies are prohibited from working with these organizations.
