Claims of Russia's “invasion” of Ukraine are hysteria. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Vershinin, reports TASS.

According to him, Moscow hopes that the West will change its behavior. “Now we are looking at our partners in Western countries, capitals and expect them to bring down the wave of this hysteria about Russia’s intentions in the region,” he said.

The diplomat explained that the accusations leveled against Russia were obviously a cover-up and related to the desire to “wind up” the conversation on long-term legally binding security guarantees for Moscow.

Earlier in February, the British Ministry of Defense published a map showing the directions of the main attacks of Russian troops during the “invasion” of Ukraine. For example, a map titled “President Putin's Possible Axis of Invasion” shows a diagram showing the phases of the Russian ground forces' offensive.
