The Russians blocked everything, including the appointment of the organization's secretary general.

During a meeting of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Russia blocked Malta's appointment as the organization's chairman next year in 2024.

This was reported by Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Juzwiak.

He said the Russians had blocked the appointment of Malta, as well as four officials who would lead the organization, including the secretary general.

“They want Lavrov to be received next week in North Macedonia at the OSCE ministerial meeting to make a final decision,” he added.

Let us recall that it was previously reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov wants to attend a meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers, which will take place from November 30 to December 1 in Skopje, North Macedonia .

In addition, we previously reported that Russia was exposed in the OSCE for lying about the alleged non-use of cluster munitions in Ukraine.
