This opinion was expressed by political scientist Taras Zagorodny on the air of “Espresso”.
According to him, Russia is seeking to organize a great war in the Middle East in order to get the price of oil under $200. This is why Moscow actively supports Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Palestinian factions.
“This continuation of the political line has been going on since the times of the USSR and is a tradition for the authorities in the Kremlin. It is no secret that such organizations actively support the KGB. Russia is trying to create danger and a point of tension in the Middle East,” Zagorodny noted .
He added that Russia is already preparing for provocations in the Baltic countries.
“This is where the interests of the Russian Federation and China coincide. In particular, the creation of tension points for the United States in different parts of the world so that they have a dispersal of forces. Further, I think that after the presidential elections in Russia we should expect provocations regarding the Baltic countries. I think that we will see such a development of events before the end of this year,” he said.
