As part of the exercises, the missile forces will move, deploy and camouflage mobile missile launchers "Yars".
Russian troops on Tuesday, July 23, began training in the use of mobile launchers of Yars ballistic nuclear missiles. This is the second such exercise that the army of the aggressor state is conducting this month.
Reuters writes about this with reference to the propaganda media of the Russian Federation.
It is known that as part of the exercise, crews of missile launchers in the Volga River basin, which are located approximately 700 km east of Moscow, must move over a distance of more than 100 km and practice deployment and camouflage.
These exercises are a continuation of similar training that the Russian Missile Forces conducted in early July in at least two different regions. In addition, less than two months ago, Russia, together with Belarus, already conducted exercises to deploy tactical nuclear weapons.
RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles can hit targets at a distance of up to 11,000 km. They can be installed not only in launch silos, but also on trucks, allowing them to be used as mobile missile launchers almost anywhere.
Recall that, according to Defense Express analysts, despite Russia’s deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, the American Aegis Ashore missile defense system in Poland and Romania can intercept intercontinental ballistic missiles from Russian territory even at the initial stage of flight.
