Against the background of the mass compulsory vaccination that started in several regions of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched a new auxiliary service. It will collect data on vaccinations for industrial workers. While the provision of data for him is voluntary. Thus, the authorities want to analyze the epidemiological situation in various companies.
This became known from the message on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to him, the service allows employers to submit information about the number of vaccinated employees, as well as those who have already had COVID-19 or are ready to be vaccinated in the near future. The portal operates within the framework of the State Information System of Industry, for which more than 10,000 Russian enterprises are required to provide data.
These enterprises have already received a mailing from the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a proposal to enter information about vaccinated employees into the database. As highlighted in the letter, while the provision of data is voluntary.
“This information will help analyze the rate of vaccination and the epidemiological situation both at specific enterprises and in industries and, together with Rospotrebnadzor, develop appropriate recommendations to prevent the spread of the disease in production and minimize the economic consequences of the pandemic for enterprises,” explained the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
On June 16, the Moscow authorities introduced mandatory vaccination for workers in trade and services, including healthcare, education, transport, catering and a number of other areas. Other regions of Russia began to take the same measures, where an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 is recorded.
As explained in the Ministry of Labor, compulsory vaccination does not allow dismissal of an employee for refusing to be vaccinated, but allows him to be suspended from work without pay. Some employers have chosen to incentivize their employees with money, gifts and bonuses. Human rights activists and human rights ombudsman in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova pointed out that discrimination against the unvaccinated can be regarded as “dishonest play.”
