Russia is mass producing drones for strikes on Ukraine
According to the publication, the Kremlin is recruiting female workers from Africa to assemble UAVs in Tatarstan.
As noted, the African women are promised training and a lucrative salary, but they do not disclose what kind of work they will have to do. Most of the workers come from countries such as Uganda, Mali, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
This kamikaze drone, originally imported from Iran, no longer has much in common with the Iranian one, since it is now produced in Russia, Le Monde notes.
According to the publication, in June alone, Russia launched almost 3,000 Shahed missiles at Ukraine, which is 10% of the total number launched during the three years of war.
Although most drones are successfully shot down by air defense forces, simultaneous massive attacks make it difficult to destroy them effectively.
