Andrey Yusov noted that the Russians made such a statement to calm the outrage in society.
The Russians plan to protect their oil and gas facilities from attacks by drones, namely, to “cover” objects, protection systems of the “Pantsir” type should be installed there.
The Guardian writes about this with reference to a quote from Artem Verkhov, director of the gas industry development department of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
“We are working together, including with colleagues from the Russian National Guard, to cover objects and, accordingly, to install Pantsir-type protection systems,” he said.
Meanwhile, Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, notes that the statement was made to calm the outrage in society and the dissipation of budget funds, since the Pantsir complexes have been in place for a long time.
“Fundamentally, these statements will not affect the situation; problems will continue at infidel enterprises that are used for military purposes,” he said in a commentary to Ukrayinska Pravda.
Recall that in Russia, since the beginning of 2024, drones have already attacked 15 times 13 oil refineries in nine regions of the country.
