Russia and China have called on the United States to abandon plans to deploy missiles in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region

In a joint statement, Russia and China called on the United States to stop the escalation of global tensions and abandon plans to deploy missiles in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region (APR). The document is published on the official website of the President of Russia.
The statement mentions US activities in the field of military biological research and plans to deploy short- and medium-range missiles in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The leaders of the countries believe that such measures, coupled with the denunciation of international treaties on the limitation of offensive missile weapons, have a negative impact on international security.
The countries also called on the United States to accelerate the elimination of chemical weapons stockpiles, some of which still remain at the disposal of the American army.
Earlier it became known that the American side is ready to discuss with Moscow a mechanism that will confirm the non-deployment of Tomahawk cruise missiles in Romania and Poland. It is noted that in the case of the deployment of the NATO missile shield bases in Eastern Europe, these missiles can reach the territory of Russia.
