One of the Russian channels included an appeal from the head of British secret intelligence with a call to spy against the Russian Federation.

On the propaganda Channel One ” RF included an appeal from Thomas Moore, head of the secret intelligence organization MI6, working for the British government. He called on Russians to spy against Russia.

The Sun writes about this.

As the publication reported, the appeal was shown on the air of a program by Maria Butina, a former Russian intelligence officer who was deported from the United States in 2019 after her attempts to infiltrate the country’s National Rifle Association (NRA).

Since then, Butina has become a deputy from Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party and a TV presenter.

In a fragment of a speech, Thomas Moore invited the Russians to “join us.” The head of secret intelligence said that the Russians are frightened by the war in Ukraine and therefore are turning to MI6.

He encouraged others to follow his example and said, “Our door is always open.”

It is unclear whether the appeal was shown intentionally, writes Sun. However, according to experts, the demonstration of Moore's message on the Russian channel helped MI6 reach “millions” of potential spies. Most of them are involved in politics – that is, the ones MI6 “wanted to target.”

Thomas Moore reacted to the broadcast of his message and thanked Russian propagandists.

“To be honest, we were racking our brains on how to get my message across to our target audience in Russia. We never thought that Russian state television would step in to help. Thanks guys,” commented he.
