An unmanned version of the T-14 tank on the Armata tracked platform has successfully passed test trials. This was announced in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper by the first deputy general director of Rostec Vladimir Artyakov.

“For example, the well-known Armata tank was originally designed as a crew-driven vehicle. But the level of modern technologies today makes it possible to turn it into a drone – we carried out the relevant tests, and they turned out to be successful, ”said Mr. Artyakov.

Earlier, the general director of the state corporation “Rostec” Sergei Chemezov told how the control of the robotic version of the newest T-14 Armata tank is different. According to him, the tank can be controlled by both the crew and artificial intelligence.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov suggested that the T-14 “Armata” tank could be of interest to the countries of the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

The heavy tracked unified platform “Armata”, on the basis of which the T-14 tank was created, was developed at Uralvagonzavod. The T-14 is the only third post-war generation tank in the world. For the first time, the car was presented to the general public at the Victory Parade in 2015, along with other products based on “Armata”.
