Austria's ice hockey talent Marco Rossi impressed with his first appearances for the NHL team Minnesota Wild.
Marco Rossi from Vorarlberg scored one goal in two test matches between the Wild Talents and the offspring of the Chicago Blackhawks. In the 4: 3 win after penalty shootout on Sunday, the center scored in the final seconds to equalize 3: 3.
For Rossi and strike partner Matt Boldy there was then praise from General Manager Bill Guerin. “I'm thrilled. Our high draft picks did what they should and that is to produce and score an important goal,” explained Guerin. Rossi will continue on Thursday, his 20th birthday, when official ice training for the Minnesota Wild begins for the NHL season beginning October 12.
