More than 50 thousand applications from citizens were received by the Rospotrebnadzor hotline on the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis.
“In the period from May 17 to May 29, 2021, Rospotrebnadzor held an All-Russian“ hot line ”on the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis. As part of the thematic consultation, Rospotrebnadzor specialists processed more than 53 thousand questions from citizens, ”the supervisory authority said in a statement.
Most of the questions were related to the sequence of actions during tick sucking.
There were also popular questions about immunization against tick-borne encephalitis.
On May 22, a specialist in especially dangerous infections, Doctor of Medical Sciences Vladislav Zhemchugov, told RT what precautions must be taken in connection with the tick season.
