Rospotrebnadzor named a possible cause of watermelon poisoning in Moscow

The reason for the poisoning in the south of Moscow could be the use of disinfestation substances in the store, the Interfax agency points out, citing a report from Rospotrebnadzor. Traces of it were found while examining the watermelons that the victims ate.

“According to the results of a study of watermelons from the apartment of the sick and from the trading enterprise“ Magnit ”, traces of a substance for disinfestation – the destruction of insects – were found. This substance was used by a specialized organization to treat the premises of this store, ”the report says.
