The first 16 Russians who were infected with the omicron strain have already been discharged from hospitals. This was stated by the head of Rospotrebnadzor, head of the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus infection Anna Popova, reports TASS.
Earlier, Anna Popova said that the number of Russians infected with the omicron strain had grown to 41. She noted that they were all in hospitals.
According to the head of the department, those infected with the omicron are mainly those who have returned from abroad. They have either been vaccinated or have had the coronavirus earlier.
In addition, the condition of those infected with the omicron remains stable. According to Popova, this is also because most of them are immune.
