An unidentified object approaching the International Space Station poses no danger, Roscosmos said.

As stated in the message on the website of the state corporation, the probability that an unknown object of space debris will collide with the ISS is zero. Correction of the maneuver of the station's orbit is not required, they specified in Roskosmos.

As the website kp.ru wrote, an unidentified space object is approaching the ISS and will get as close as possible to the station on Thursday, July 8. According to the American side, the approach of the station with the space object “UNKNOWN” will occur at about 16:16, the minimum distance to which the object will approach is 4.8 kilometers.

Meanwhile, Roskosmos intends to build another space debris detection station. The object will appear in South Africa and will be able to detect spacecraft and space debris in low, medium and high Earth orbits.
